With over 50 years of martial arts experience, Grand Master Mann is a distinguished 8th Degree Kukkiwon Black Belt and one of the most respected coaches and referees in the world of Taekwondo. During his time as Canadian National Team Coach for Poomsae, Grand Master Mann has guided numerous athletes to victory, including multiple international and national champions and three World Taekwondo Medallists.
A Certified NCCP Performance Coach, Grand Master Mann brings a blend of technical mastery and innovative coaching methods to the world of Taekwondo.
Beyond coaching, Grand Master Mann has also made a significant impact as an International Referee. A 2nd Class International Referee with a wealth of experience at top-tier competitions, he has officiated at four World Poomsae Championships and held the position of Canadian National and Provincial Referee Chairman. His expertise has earned respect worldwide, making him a prominent figure in the global Taekwondo community.
In addition to his coaching and officiating roles, Grand Master Mann has had a successful competitive career, earning a bronze medal in Poomsae at the 2018 World Taekwondo Championships. He also made history in 1984 by winning a bronze medal in sparring at the inaugural South East Asian Games, marking an early milestone in his martial arts journey.
Grand Master Mann’s achievements were recognized in 2018 when he was honored with the Pan Am Best Coach Award, a testament to his leadership and dedication to the sport. As a trailblazer in Taekwondo coaching, Grand Master Mann continues to inspire athletes right here in Orangeville, with his commitment to excellence, mentorship, and passion for the sport.
